NYIP Partners with Popular Photography for Photographer Portfolio Reviews
The New York Institute of Photography has partnered with Popular Photography Magazine and American Photo Magazine to offer online portfolio reviews to photographers of all types and experience levels. The platform, hosted on Popular Photography Magazine’s website, allows photographers anywhere in the world to submit up to ten photos for review by a professional photographer, NYIP teacher or magazine editor.
"Part of NYIP’s mission has always been to provide tools to help photographers get better," said Chuck DeLaney, NYIP’s Director. "Until today, we did that primarily through our photography courses. But we’re thrilled to offer more experienced photographers the kind of feedback they are looking for on their portfolios from seasoned pros."
The process is simple. Photographers who are interested in getting their portfolios reviewed can visit www.popphoto.com/onlineportfolioreview and sign up for $99. They will answer a series of questions about their skill level and goals in the field of photography. Then they will submit up to ten photos to be reviewed, and they can choose from a list of evaluators that they would like to review their photos. Once the review is complete, they will receive an email with the full review and recommendations.
This is a great experience for any photographer, especially those looking to break into the professional photography field and start earning money with their talents. Feedback from professional photographers has long been a vital part of NYIP’s photography courses, and is essential for anyone serious about improving their skills.
